Fabian - welcome to Cerebral Valley! First off, give us a bit about your background and what led you to co-found Pulze?
Thank you for having me! My journey in technology began at the age of 15 during Europe's dot-com boom, when I started a game server company that grew so rapidly we had to build our own server clusters. This experience led me to establish five data centers—including one that now handles 90% of Ukraine's internet traffic—and to found Kleyrex, Germany's second-largest internet exchange. These ventures taught me the power of scalable infrastructure and sparked my passion for building technologies that can drive significant impact.
After moving to the United States, I joined Mesosphere as a software engineer, where I developed research platforms for data science teams at major banking clients, focusing on analytics and fraud detection. I also initiated open-source projects like KUDO, which became part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). Later, at Freenome—a pioneering biotech startup specializing in early cancer detection—I built the company's AI infrastructure from the ground up. By making AI tools more accessible to scientists, product managers, and lab technicians, we accelerated innovation and achieved significant advancements in detecting cancer early.
Throughout these experiences, I noticed a recurring challenge: non-technical teams struggled to leverage AI effectively because the tools were too complex. This realization inspired me to co-found Pulze. Our mission is to democratize AI by making it accessible and practical for professionals without a technical background. By bridging the gap between AI technology and business teams, we're empowering organizations to harness AI for their specific needs, removing technical barriers, and fostering innovation across the board.
How would you describe Pulze to an AI engineer or developer who isn’t as familiar?
Let me start by saying that engineers probably don't need Pulze explained to them—they already have the tools and expertise to leverage AI effectively. The real challenge is for business professionals who are often at a disadvantage when it comes to utilizing AI for their needs. That's where Pulze comes in. We've built a platform that combines advanced AI capabilities like agents, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), model evaluation, and routing into a simple, plug-and-play interface. From the moment you sign up, whether as an individual or as part of a team, Pulze scales with you, making AI accessible without the need for coding or technical expertise.
We are handling the heavy lifting—aggregating AI providers, ensuring compliant data handling, and managing requests—so you don't have to spend months on backend tasks. This way, everyone can be productive from day one, focusing on what truly matters for your business.
We've open-sourced our dynamic router at the LLM routing event!
In line with our commitment to transparency and community collaboration, you can now access the full codebase.

Talk to us about your users today - who’s finding the most value in what you’re building with Pulze?
Our most impactful users today are marketing professionals who are tasked with leveraging AI but often feel overwhelmed by the multitude of options and the mediocre performance of existing tools. They face limiting factors like models that fail to capture their brand's tone and voice, resulting in generic content that requires even more effort to refine. Integrating their data and collaborating with other departments can also be challenging, leading to siloed efforts that hinder competitiveness.
Companies looking to stay ahead with Generative AI need a single, innovative partner to grow with them in all their GenAI needs. We position ourselves as that partner—pioneering technologies like KNN routing—to help you implement a GenAI strategy without the risk of relying on a single provider that might not be there tomorrow. By making AI accessible without technical expertise, we enable teams across marketing, product management, and customer support to make faster decisions, work more efficiently, and drive innovation within their organizations, ensuring your strategy remains future-proof and investable.
What are some of the use cases for Pulze that have worked best so far? Any customer success stories that you'd like to share?
We have as a customer a major bank known for its cautious approach to new technologies. They turned to us to transform their marketing and content creation processes. The bank struggled with ensuring that all marketing content strictly followed complex brand voice and compliance guidelines—a task that was both time-consuming and prone to human error when done manually. Their marketing team easily connected all their data from their existing marketing stack to our platform. We learned from their interactions, discovering which AI responses and models they preferred for different tasks. This meant we could provide their team members with AI agents that adapted to their needs and even sounded like them, effectively enhancing their capabilities.
For instance, when crafting customer communications, we selected language models specialized in financial compliance and consistency of tone, tailored to their specific preferences. This intelligent selection ensured they always had the best tool for the job without needing deep technical expertise.
They were so impressed with the results that, although we started with just the marketing team, other departments soon took notice. Within weeks, both their product and sales teams were onboarded as well.
The outcome was a significant reduction in the content review process—from days down to minutes—which greatly increased their speed to market. By automating these processes, they saved time and ensured a higher level of accuracy and adherence to their brand standards across multiple teams.
There's a lot of excitement around agents and multimodal in addition to the growth of LLMs. How does serving those different markets factor into your product vision for Pulze?
Absolutely! The advancements in AI agents and multimodal models are incredibly exciting and align perfectly with our vision for Pulze. We aim to create a universal platform where businesses can access and utilize a wide range of AI capabilities—be it language processing, image analysis, or data analytics—without needing to navigate complex technologies or multiple tools.
By integrating AI agents and multimodal models into Pulze, we're enabling users to tackle complex, cross-functional tasks within a single workspace. For example, a marketing team could use Pulze to develop a comprehensive campaign by generating persuasive copy, analyzing customer engagement data, and even interpreting visual content—all without switching platforms or requiring technical expertise. Pulze automatically selects the most appropriate agents for each aspect of the task, ensuring users get the best possible results seamlessly.
What has been the hardest technical challenge around building Pulze into the product it is today?
One of the toughest technical challenges we've faced was bridging the gap between advanced AI technology and everyday usability. We needed to create an intelligent system that accurately matches user queries to the optimal AI models while ensuring high-quality results and stringent security. For example, enabling marketing teams to effortlessly generate content that adheres to complex compliance and brand guidelines meant developing sophisticated algorithms that select specialized language models suited for financial regulations—all without exposing sensitive data. Achieving this required us to hide complex AI processes behind an intuitive interface tailored for non-technical users. Balancing powerful functionality with simplicity was a delicate task, but overcoming it has been crucial to fulfilling our mission of democratizing AI and empowering professionals to innovate without technical barriers.
How do you plan on Pulze progressing over the next 6-12 months? Anything specific on your roadmap that new or existing customers should be excited for?

We're putting a major focus on enhancing Pulze Spaces to become the central hub where an organization works together. By integrating with popular productivity tools, we'll make it effortless for each team to share their work and collaborate in real time—all within a single platform.
Lastly, tell us a little bit about the team and culture at Pulze. How big is the company now, and what do you look for in prospective team members that are joining?
