CV Deep Dive
Today, we're talking with Dominic Xie, Founder and CEO of Fellou.
Fellou is the world's first agentic browser that automates web and desktop-based complex tasks with Deep Action technology, developed by Dominic Xie, who is perhaps best known as the founder of Authing, an identity-as-a-service platform that reportedly serves hundreds of millions of users across over 700 clients by 2024. Founded with the vision of reimagining human-computer interaction, Fellou introduces revolutionary "Browser in Agent" architecture that enables autonomous web interaction by creating separate digital layers for users and agents.
The platform provides deep search, cross-platform workflow automation, and AI-powered report generation - all with top-grade security. Unlike traditional browsers augmented with AI features, Fellou is built from the ground up as an agentic system that can think, act, and learn user preferences in real-time. This announcement focuses on Fellou CE (Concept Edition), our latest breakthrough featuring revolutionary spatial workspace separation that creates distinct operational layers for humans and AI agents - a capability not available in classic Fellou.
Today, Fellou has already captured over 1 million users since its April launch, with power users ranging from digital marketers and students to real estate professionals who leverage its autonomous capabilities for complex multi-step workflows. The platform's ability to execute tasks like automated lead generation, cross-platform content posting, and intelligent research compilation has positioned it at the forefront of the emerging agentic AI market, projected to reach $196B by 2034.

In this conversation, Dominic shares how his journey from building chatbots at 13 to creating Authing led to Fellou, why he believes we're at the "iPhone moment" for productivity, and his vision for giving everyone their own "Jarvis."

Our Chat with Dominic đŹ
Dominic, welcome to Cerebral Valley! I admire your journey - from coding at 13 to Forbes 30 Under 30 to founding Fellou, and now creating the world's first agentic browser. What was the "aha moment" that made you realize browsers needed to be reimagined?
Thanks for having me. I'm Dominic Xie, founder of Fellou.
There wasn't a single "aha moment." It's something I've been thinking about for many years. I first encountered AI when I was 13, learning Prolog and building a chatbot for anime role-playing. Because it was based on expert systems, the conversations were stiff, which pushed me toward deep learning where I built small projects like CAPTCHA recognition.
Even then, the seed of AI was still growing. I was deeply influenced by Tim Berners-Lee's vision for the Semantic Web and his Solid project, which aimed to give users ownership of their data through a unified ID system. That inspired me to create Authing, which now serves over 1,000 paying enterprise customers, including but not limited to companies like Toyota, Bosch, Samsung, and Coca Cola. But I was never convinced by Solid's underlying Linked Data technologyâit felt outdated and inefficient.
I've always been driven by the question Google once asked when creating Gmail: "If email were invented today, what would it look like?" Applied to AI and productivity, the answer was clear: computers, browsers, and even the Web itself are about to be transformed. I knew I had to find the right entry point, start with a vision of what agents could be five years from now, and work backward to build it.
That's when it became clear: the browser itself is the best carrier. It's the bridge that connects upward to the Internet and downward to the entire computer. Of course, Fellou isn't really a browser, it's a general intelligence agent disguised as one.

You've coined the term "agentic browser" and now with Fellou CE, you're introducing the world's first spatial browser with a Z-axis. For someone who's never experienced this, how do you explain what it feels like to work in a spatial digital environment?
Imagine having a housekeeper who knows you extremely wellâalways available, highly capable, yet living in a separate space so you both enjoy freedom and peace. That's what it feels like in a spatial digital environment.
With Fellou, we've created two distinct "workspaces": one for the Agent and one for you. This separation is what we call the Z-axis. The more time you spend together, the more Fellou learns about you, and the more personalized the services it can provide.
It's very different from the feeling you get when you interact with hotel staff at the front desk or housekeeping while traveling. This isn't transactionalâit's about building an ongoing, effortless co-living and co-working relationship with your digital companion.
Fellou has hit over 1 million users since April, which is incredible traction. But more specifically, who are the power users that are really pushing the boundaries of what's possible with autonomous web interaction?
We've noticed that our user base overlaps heavily with other new tech platforms aimed to increase productivity. Most of them are between 15 and 35 years oldâknowledge and information workers, automation enthusiasts, workflow obsessives, and AI early adopters.
They're passionate about leveraging the latest tools to reduce human manual tasks and repetitive work, like some digital marketers use them to produce marketing materials and post across different platforms automatically; students use it to automatically shortlist their idea jobs and tailor their resumes and workers use it to compile research across webs and organize into visual reports. These are our power users, and they're the ones really pushing the boundaries of autonomous web interaction.
I love reading one of your customer stories about the Australian real estate owner who found 50 high-potential leads in one morning using Fellou. What was the agent doing that a human couldn't?
First, I think it's important to clarify what we mean by "work humans can't do." In reality, there's no task that humans cannot complete. The difference is that individuals can't multitask across dozens of threads or scale repetitive processes in bulk. That's where agents come in.
In this case, the real estate business owner used Fellou to rapidly scan Google Maps for vacant properties that met specific criteria, then automatically pulled owner contact details. In just one morning, he surfaced 50 high-potential leads. He told us that the reports Fellou generated (full of rich data, charts, and analysis) were on par with what you'd expect from a top consulting firm, at the level of a six-figure project.
Here, Fellou didn't replace the human element. It removed the drudgery. Instead of wasting time searching for leads, he could focus entirely on negotiations and relationship-building. In his own words, it felt like having an extremely capable, cost-effective intern who never gets tired.
Your "Browser in Agent" architecture is new to me. How does this fundamentally different architecture change what's possible compared to traditional AI browsing tools?
"Browser in Agent" is essentially another way of describing what we call an Agentic Browser. In the past, we emphasized both the agentic capabilities and the browser capabilities. Now, we want to highlight that Fellou is not just a browser with some AI, but a general-purpose agent with native browser powers.
This architecture also frees us from the traditional mindset of what a browser is. Instead of being constrained by old models, we can redesign it from first principles. Pages, tabs, history, bookmarks, and even workflows become new entry points for AI-native innovation. For users, that means a more seamless, intuitive, and deeply integrated agentic experience that goes far beyond what traditional AI browsing tools can offer.
Underpinning all of this is our Eko framework, which provides the technical foundation for Fellou. Eko ensures that agents operate in a way that is modular, secure, and privacy-preserving, with clear separation of human and agent workspaces.

With Fellou CE launching with 7 days of free access, what's the one workflow or use case you'd recommend someone try first to really understand the power of spatial Agentic browsing?
If I had to pick one, I'd recommend students or young professionals try job hunting as their first workflow.
Today, searching for jobs is frustratingâyou need to check LinkedIn, different job boards, networking groupsâand even then, the information is scattered, outdated, or hard to compare. Fellou changes that completely. You can simply tell it: "Find consulting or banking jobs in the U.S. for 2026 graduates."
Fellou will search across multiple platforms in parallel, collect the results, filter out duplicates, and then summarize everything into a clean Excel file, including company names, roles, locations, and deadlines. That alone saves hours of manual searching and sorting.
But it doesn't stop there. Fellou can also generate a visual report so you can quickly see trends, like which cities or industries are hiring most. And if you upload your resume, Fellou can tailor it to specific job requirements, giving you a personalized starting point that you can refine yourself.
This one workflow demonstrates all the unique strengths of Fellou CE: Search everything you want, take action on results, create more than you imagine, and all of this feels fast because Fellou runs with parallel agents and separate human-agent workspaces.
Meet Fellou CE (Concept Edition): The Spatial Agentic Browser that puts you back in control.
Imagine having a "Jarvis" for your browsing.
We're giving you the power to create one.

What was the biggest technical hurdle you found while building agents that can work simultaneously without interfering with each other?
The main challenges were on two levels: At the OS and application level, sandbox technologies are difficult to implement, highly complex, and lack standardization. Inside the browser, creating a Human-Agent Workspace required us to design namespace separation and state management that could handle multiple agents running in parallel without stepping on each other.
The Agentic AI market is projected to hit $196B by 2034. You're clearly early, but there will be competition. What's your unfair advantage or niche in this space?
Our unfair advantage lies at the intersection of technology, data, and human-computer interaction. While many players are building generic agentic frameworks, Fellou is uniquely positioned because of three main reasons.
First, Agent-First Infrastructure. Unlike incumbents retrofitting old products with agents, Fellou is designed from the ground up as an agentic browser. This lets us natively optimize for multi-step task execution, memory, and adaptability in a way others can't.
Second advantage is the Human-Centered Interaction Layer. Fellou is pioneering the "user-agent co-pilot" model: a seamless interface that feels natural, intuitive, and reduces friction between humans and AI agents.
Third, Deep Local Integration. Fellou is deeply integrated with the local browser and file system, eliminating the need to constantly switch between applications. This enhances both operational efficiency and data security by keeping sensitive operations local to your computer - setting Fellou apart from others on the market in terms of privacy and data protection.
Lastly, apart from technology expertise, we have talented people with Speed of Execution plus vibrant startup community. Our team combines Silicon Valley execution speed with deep technical expertise across AI infra, browser tech, and product design.
You're creating an entire agentic ecosystem with Eko Framework, Agent Studio, and Agent Store. How do you balance being a product company versus a platform company?
We see product and platform as two sides of the same coin. A strong product brings people togetherâusers, developers, and creatorsâwho then start building and sharing on top of it. That's how community forms, and community is what transforms a product into a platform. Our focus is on keeping that balance: delivering immediate value to users while nurturing a community-driven ecosystem where agentic innovation can thrive.
What does success look like for Fellou in the next 18 months? And what would make you feel like you've truly succeeded in redefining human-computer interaction?
In our definition, HCIâhuman-computer interactionâwill no longer be about humans and computers. It will be HAIâhuman-agent interaction. Fellou CE is just the simplest expression of this vision. Success, in the long term, will mean enabling the true liberation of human free will in how we work with intelligent systems.
In the next 18 months, our focus will be on maximizing the capabilities of foundation models to create a general-purpose agent that increases human efficiency by 10,000x.
Final one â tell us a bit about the Fellou team. What kind of talent do you look for, and how would you describe the internal culture that powers your company? What makes the Fellou team special?
Fellou is built by a hardworking, curious, and resilient team that learns quickly from failures. We're young, energetic, and deeply committed to the belief in AGI.
Right now, we're especially interested in:
Designers with philosophical depth in interaction design
Agent software engineers
