Cerebral Valley – Week of May 18th 🗓
Right after the I/O keynote, we're in SF May 23rd with Google DeepMind. Then it's Paris in July — RAISE Summit (July 4–5) and Machina (July 6), back-to-back...
Google's next chapter starts at I/O — come build it.
Right after the keynote, we're hosting a Gemini hackathon with the Google DeepMind team focused on turning the latest model capabilities into working products. Direct access to the team behind Gemini, fresh APIs to play with, and the first weekend to ship on whatever lands at I/O.
📍 Saturday, May 23 | San Francisco, CA
In partnership with Cerebral Valley, Vultr, and others, the RAISE Summit Hackathon convenes the world's top developers to solve high-stakes business problems. Over the course of two days in Paris, ideas become demos, and demos become momentum.
📍 Saturday, July 4 – Sunday, July 5 | Paris, France (Hybrid)
In partnership with Cerebral Valley, 150+ builders will join us for 12 hours of intense building in 3 tracks, on July 6, 2026, in Paris, the day before the MACHINA Summit brings together the founders, scientists, and investors defining the next era of intelligent machines. Be part of the future of Physical AI. Applications are now open.
📍 Monday, July 6 | Paris, France

Cooling AI training racks with fjord seawater inside a Norwegian mountain — @WeAreHRT (Hudson River Trading) takes the camera inside Lefdal Mine DC, where cold seawater siphoned from the fjord cools DLC racks running above 125 kW per cabinet. Bespoke storage, high-speed interconnects, and a mountain. Quant research infrastructure has gotten weird.
Jane Street's GPU buildout, from "the hive" to 4,032 GPUs — @GoshawkTrades surfaces the origin story behind Jane Street's new liquid-cooled Texas AI training facility (56 racks, 8,000 km of fiber). Their first cluster: six Dell boxes stacked at the end of a desk row, sitting next to traders so they could unplug it. Someone vacuuming once unplugged a live trading system mid-day. The 20-year arc ends at sub-100ns trade execution.
Singapore is now the #1 user of Claude globally — @zeroxkyle flags the milestone, noting that GIC also led Anthropic's $30B Series G. Adoption and capital, from the same address.
The 3rd Annual NatSec Hackathon — @cerebral_valley wraps the largest edition yet: 1,000+ applicants, 102 projects, $80K in prizes, and a first-time partnership with @USARMYPIT. Teams built across sensor analysis, mission C2, cyber, edge deployments, and drone ops, judged by Army and Space Force personnel alongside @ShieldCapVC, @PalantirTech, @DCVC, @L3HarrisTech, and IQT.
130,000 lbs of "Boomalloy" billet, in weeks instead of a year — @bscholl (Boom Supersonic) shows off the powder-metal shipment headed for turbine disc forging — enough material for ~1.3GW of turbines. Procurement that normally takes 12+ months collapsed into a few weeks via deep supplier partnership. Supersonic supply chains, ahead of schedule.
