Spotlight - Sentius

Sentius is a Silicon Valley-based startup founded by former Microsoft and Google engineers in 2023. It is a Techstars alumnus and has raised $1.2m.

Sentius' browser agent just surpassed Runner-H and others on the Web Voyager benchmark for web agents, with a 94% success rate. The Web Voyager benchmark is a tool that tests agents’ abilities to navigate and interact with 15 popular sites like Google Maps, BBC News, Amazon etc. It can be evaluated automatically while using its internal browser agent, but it has to be manually evaluated by humans when used with independent browser agents. We’ve compiled the chart to compare the benchmark results of other agents here.

Sentius enables midsize businesses and enterprise organizations to automate their complex workflows spanning across websites and existing web APIs using its Teach & Repeat Platform:

  • Sentius Browser Agent: enables users to automate tasks either by using zero-shot approach, or by teaching it how to run known tasks,

  • Sentius Studio: allows users to design, test, deploy, and monitor complex workflows,

  • Sentius Workflow Engine: runs complex workflows that incorporate web site automation, API calls, and human-in-the-loop,

  • Context Extensions to Language Models: RMT and ARMT technologies (featured in Sifted) incorporate working memory research into language models to enable reasoning over long context.

In addition to innovation in applied research of browser agents, Sentius excels in fundamental research bound to power agentic foundation models. On the BABILong benchmark (featured at NeurIPS 2024) recurrent transformers excel at tackling vast contexts—up to 50M tokens—where retrieval-augmented generation falls short, as shown. With breakthroughs in both applied and fundamental AI research and first customers and design partners, Sentius is ready to redefine what’s possible in agentic AI.
